Today was not very nice, weather-wise, so the spouse and I spent the day hanging out in our favorite bistro, eating, drinking, and working on a few things that we needed to get done. To the causal observer, it probably looked like a wasted day, but for us, it was perfect: it was exactly what we needed.

Nice photo Grrl. Is Rosa german for Tulip?

Thanks Grrl, Google wouldn't translate it as other than Rosa. Having re-read my post I wasn't questioning your botanical knowledge.

oh, i am not very knowledgeable about plants (i love them and keep lots of them and photograph them, and have dissected lots of them, but their taxonomy is not something i've got stuck in my head).

but i know even less german than plant. the translation of "Rosa Blüte" is "pink blossom". the german for tulip is "tulpe."

and as per an earlier tulip post, this is of course a Grrl special, a Parrot Tulip, possibly one of "Fantasy", "Pink Panther", "Quasimodo", or "Paradise"...
