They're taking the hobbits to Isengard!

As a diehard Lord of the Rings fan since around age 13, I have only one thing to say about this:

They're taking the hobbits to Isengard!

I bet you can't get this out of your head now, can you?

This guy couldn't:

More like this

I've used the term innumeracy fairly often on this blog, and I've had a few people write to ask me what it means. It's also, I think, a very important idea. Innumeracy is math what illiteracy is to reading. It's the fundamental lack of ability to understand or use numbers or math. And like…
By way of Thers at Whiskey Fire, we read that the evangelical movement has recognized that sometimes homeschooling doesn't quite get the job done: Suppose you have home-schooled your advanced blastocyst in the best evangelical wingnut way, to the age of 18. And suppose you recognize that no matter…
A while back, I wrote what some might call a fairly provocative article on the promiscuity of famous physicists entitled Getting Physical. Besides getting picked up by a porn site or two and this possibly NSFW link (So what if you've been on Slashdot? How many science articles can claim this…
So, the financial questions keep coming. I'm avoiding a lot of them, because (A) they bore me, and (B) I'm really not the right person to ask. I try to stay out of this stuff unless I have some clue of what I'm talking about. Rest assured, I'm not spending all of my blogging time on this; I've got…

Oh great. Now I'll have to spend all afternoon watching BadgerBadgerBadger just to get those out of my head.

Oh. My.

Although it's a very interesting thing - loop a sentence long enough and you start hearing it as music . . . (got it from WNYC's wonderful Radio Lab show, the musical language episode . . .

I'm not sure you can ever unhear it, though . . . .

They're taking the hobbits to Isengard!

Yawn. I guess I'm getting old. If that's what the young folks listen to today, I'm glad I don't belong to that generation. The only thing that's really impressive is the guy's dentist. I guess I stopped listening to techno when they started with that annoying re-re-re-peating of always the same sentence. The day. The earth. Caught fire.

Old. But entertaining nonetheless.

And now, I have to watch dancing badgers for the next 3 hours to get this song out of my head.

Oh, and may I recommend http://www.leekspin.com? It's truly hypnotic... =D

You have it all wrong. Shows how if you keep repeating a lie often enough...

They're taking the Hobbits TOO, Eyes and Guard.

*shakes fist* I want those two minutes back!
