Discovery Channel Interview About Hurricanes & Global Warming

Well, this may be the best produced video segment that I've yet appeared in to talk about the book.

Nice work, huh? I'm told it will be up on YouTube shortly.

PZ Myers has this to say about the YouTube video of our "Speaking Science 2.0" talk: I tried to watch that video. I even made it to the 20 minute mark before I gave up. Please, oh please, I need some substance in order to keep me going through an hour-long lecture. I'm going to try not to get…

This summer I am working with a student on trying to start to get some reasonable assessment of one of our ongoing oddball-ish outreach projects.  Working with a local videographer, we've been making 2 minute mini-profiles of astrobiologists who work here at LSU (Louisiana State University) - two…

Chris, you do a great interview. You stuff lots of meaty information into the short intervals they give you. Nice.

Hurricanes "riding on top of a higher ocean" which will penetrate farther inland. That's a very compelling image for a worst case. We may not have any 'canes threatening us this moment, but we've got plenty of record drought, heat, flooding, tornadoes and wildfires. It's not what any of the people suffering those things would call "normal."

Great interview to spread around Chris.

Thanks
