Wonder Woman The Movie? Not Yet.

A few readers emailed about the rumors surrounding a supposed Wonder Woman movie. Yes, I heard about Megan Fox, but it's not true, with no word on when or even whether the film will happen.

Thanks to those who remembered I'm holding onto hope that we'll see a strong, independent female role model/superhero make her way to the big screen soon. In the mean time, there will be an animated DVD out next year:

The new Sherlock Holmes movie is, of course, a must see for Holmes buffs, and beyond that ... for regular movie goers ... it is still recommended. The movie is a high-test, quirky, action packed, funny cliff hanger. Having said that, Holmes aficionados will probably get more out of this movie…

I'm not sure that a woman running around in a bustier and high-heel boots is necessarily a good rôle model for women....

I think it has more to do with how she is portrayed as in an empowered independent super hero over being an objectified fantasy creature. The damsel in distress and vamped up sex kitted models are mostly all we see out there.
