Vote for Shelley!

The finalists for the CollegeScholarship.com $10,000 scholarship have been announced, and SB's [I stand corrected, excuse the faux pas] Sb's own Shelley of Retrospectacle is one of them! Make sure that you go over to the voting page (the contest from here on out depends on votes from readers like you) and vote for Shelley (and tell all your friends too).

Also of note are two other science bloggers in the long list of 20, The Big Room (and little things in it) and Anthropology.net. I was hoping to make the finals myself, but even though I didn't make it I have something to shoot for next time (although I have to admit that the $10,000 would come quite in handy if I'm going to make it to the Koobi Fora field school).

Still, Shelley's got my vote and I can't imagine a more deserving student blooger. Now go and vote!

So ScienceBlogling Shelley Batts of Retrospectacle is one of twenty finalists in a blogging contest, and if she wins, she gets a $10,000 scholarship. Head on over to the voting page, and vote for her. Why? Not only do I like her writing, but she also stood her ground against Wiley Publishing…
Just got a nice note from Daniel Kovach of CollegeScholarships.org announcing their blogging scholarship competition. As is well-known to ScienceBlogs.com readers, our own Shelley Batts of Retrospectacle! won the $1,000 runner-up prize last year. All the details and eligibility requirements are…
You may be aware of the $5000 scholarship for students who are science bloggers. Now the 10 finalists have been announced and you should go here to cast your vote. I have initially nominated (and will vote for) Jenna (Jennifer Wong) of Cyberspace Rendezvous which is, in my opinion, the best student…

I've heard bad things about the Koobi Fora field school. I was gonna go in 2004 but because of some advice I backed out. I recommend you volunteer with some project, such as the Middle Awash... that is if they are taking volunteers.
