How did you get such close-up shots of these animals? Did you have a great zoom lens or do you do a digital zoom or are you really that close to them?
Elisabeth; A little of both. Soon after I purchased my camera I bought a better 45-150mm digital lens for it, which allowed me to zoom in a bit closer. This hasn't always done the trick, though, and usually the animals have to be within about 20 feet or so for me to get a good shot. When (if?) I get some insurance money to buy a new camera, I might get a better telephoto lens to let me get even closer.
