I have read a lot about an extinct relative of the gelada, the gorilla-sized Theropithecus oswaldi. The modern gelada is imposing enough, a baboon 3or 4 times larger must have been downright intimidating!
Raymond; Such a primate would have indeed been imposing! It reminds me that I need to read Theropithecus: The Rise and Fall of a Primate Genus.
