Remember how I sang that awesome evolution rewrite of that song for open mic night at Science Online 2011?
No?
Oh, I see. You weren't at Science Online 2011. Or, worse, you were, but you missed my stellar performance. No worries - I've been strong-armed into turning it into a recording. Without further ado...
**UPDATE** Like it so much? Ok, fine. Go download it and add it to your iPod.

Mr. Zuska and I spent a few days in Gettysburg at the Bluegrass Festival. I am a conflicted fan of bluegrass music. That is, I do love me some banjo. And hearing a good banjo, fiddle, bass, mandolin, and guitar together is, to me, a true aural delight.
The problem lies with some of the lyrics…
Some people have been complaining about LeRoy and I want to make clear why they are wrong to do so. This is not a subtle or nuanced situation at all. People with the complaint to which I refer are embarrassing themselves. So this missive is just as much in support of LeRoy as it is to help those…
This Friday marks the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. Accordingly, in SprogCast #5, the elder Free-Ride offspring marks the change of season by describing a local release of trout-fry.

For a fair while now I've defended Lindzen {{cn}} on the grounds that he is actually a Real Scientist, albeit edging ever further off onto the sceptical wing. And this has been difficult because whilst his papers have, I think, been reasonable his public pronouncements and his congressional-…
Totally rocked ... now to put a u-tube version .. maybe even with environmental imagery or message ... say about the oil in gulf re dolphins and turtles .. or even just you having fun being a nerdy scientist singer ... or how about as a aid to teach kids about evolution!
This is a really cool song. Hope you write and sing more. Maybe monthly?
Yes please put this gem up on youtube to share to the world. That is gold you are brilliant keep it up.
Yeah! And thank you for not using autotuning (at least I didn't hear any). Are we allowed to share this?
Wow! You've got a really great voice, Christie! That totally rocked!
Glad you all like it :).
Of course you can share it! Pass it along as you wish. As for a YouTube... Lemme think about it.
Oh, and re autotuning: that's a definite no. For better or worse, that's my voice as it came out. Just sang and put it up, no alterations. I actually had to google to find out what you guys meant. I didn't know I could do that! Technology never ceases to amaze me.
Love it.
Yes, Youtube it please, Christie. You'll go viral.
Nicely done. I'm sorry I missed the live version.
Yeah, autotuning is over done and ends up making a singer sound like a robot. The only time it was ever done well, IMHO, was in those 'Symphony of Science' videos, where they make Carl Sagan sound like he is singing.
That was so cool you're nerd credentials may come into question.
WoW, another Oliva Newton John..How cool is that>.
As if you didn't have enough cool geek cred already! This is so awesome :) I gotta get my drums to SciO12 and me, you Kzelnio and Dave Kroll can rock out :)
This is excellent! I love the lyrics and you sing beautifully!
Chanteuse Wilcox, perhaps would there be a way to download the song so that I can put it on my shiny new MP3 player? It would be really cool to be able to listen to it while stuck on an airplane or wandering around in the woods. Pretty please? Your song would be very happy there with all of the Grateful Dead, Bonnie Raitt, Emmy Lou Harris, and other songs I have. I promise I'll take good care of it!
