I'm here in Ashland, and you'll be able to catch me on the radio in about 45 minutes, at 9am. It's a call-in show, too, so have fun.
The rest of my day is busy, too — you can find out more at the Jefferson Center website.

Get ready, West coast: in two weeks I'll be in Ashland, Oregon, speaking in the Meese Room, Hannon Library, at Southern Oregon University, at 7:00pm on 23 April. If you aren't a student, you'll have to pay a whole $10 to hear me — that's more than I'd pay to see a Michael Bay movie, and I won't…
From my email inbox: information about AWIS coaching seminars. Two dates, four times, 45 minutes in length, details after the jump.
You know AWIS as a networking and mentoring resource - Now try us as you move to the next stage of your career. If your life could use a little boost, try our new…
OK, I posted a lot of pictures of Belgrade and my Mom's food so far, but the real business was on Tuesday, when I gave two talks about Open Access, PLoS, Science 2.0, the future of the scientific paper, Open Notebook Science and science blogging.
In the morning, I gave a talk in the gallery of the…
It's true that I don't have a lot of free time on my hands, but last nights UStream event with the crew was lots of fun. Isis and Arikia have been hosting a regular Friday night get-together on UStream, which is a total blast, but last night Isis couldn't tear herself away from her hot, hot…
Is it going to be pretty much all science, then? One thinks so from the blurb, but then they bring up PZ being atheist.
If I were going, I'd like the talk to be science, while the Q & A is bound to have enough of the atheism.

I'm tuned in!
Will there be a podcast?
Welcome to Southern Oregon!
Now go hug a tree hugger...
There's a live stream. I think it's the "News & Information" link:

Listening! Talking tea-bagging at the moment.
The announcer just said - fair-in-goo-la for Pharyngula.
I want them to move Baltimore to Oregon. Maryland can keep the murderous drug gang bangers. Perhaps they can be moved to DC where they won't be noticed.
Wah!
*mopes off to journal club*
Listening in the UK, so no slouching.
Bob(Big)
"They've got the certainty, we've got the knowledge."
PZ - coherent, eloquent, and patient. Nice job.
Does anybody know if they will have this available as an archive later? I am listening now, but will have to go away from my computer and will miss the last half of the interview but would love to hear all of it. Especially later when I can devote my full attention to it.
Any help would be appreciated.
I'm always amazed at how little PZ sounds like the Antichrist. He's a slick one, no doubt.
Caller says understanding something "removes the sense of awe and wonder". Huh?
The show will be repeated at 9-10pm for those who missed it.
Jaketoadie @12,
They announced that they will re-broadcast tonight at 8:00 PM, (or 9:00?).
Just finished listening to the show. Well done!
I'm not sure what the guy asking about the zero point energy was getting at though.
Yeah, I heard that comment and while I know he said he had not listened to the entire conversation but I have no idea where he got that idea.
PZ - Nice! I just finished listening. Forgive the ignorant, for they probably have either not given it much thought or simply want to cling to their simplistic ideas and refuse to give it much thought.
Yeah I found it just in time for "Well that's our program and thank you for listening." Yeah any archive info would be great.
Great program!! Postman, you need to read your bible,of course PZ sounds nothing like the antichrist. The antichrist will appear and sound more like GW Bush. Hmmm....OR maybe Obama. That's what you have to love about the bible, you can make is almost anything you like...but certainly not PZ as the antichist, I am sticking to THAT.
Program repeated from 8-10pm with PZ from 9-10, I think is it. 9pm in Oregon is midnight EDT of course.
I just listened to (most of) the interview. Well done PZ. You calmly gutted the silly questions & comments with surgical precision.
Which proves he is the Antichrist! *duhn duhn duuuuhn*
The Podcast should be in this rss feed tomorrow

I made an mp3 of the radio interview with PZ Myers.
It can be downloaded from:

Thanks so much for the upload!
Off topic, but I wonder what Creationists think about this newly discovered transitional fossil: http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v458/n7241/full/nature07985.html
Hey PZ,
I enjoyed the show. Don't take this wrong, but I think that you displayed the patience of a saint, particularly when the biggest crackpot calls in at the last moment, leaving you only 30 seconds to refute her gospel.
Well done, and thank you.
Tom
Looks like RC Nelson beat me to it, but here is another recording for your listening pleasure:

Who doesn't like choices in life?
And for those who are addicted to iTunes - it should be avaliable as a Podcast soon ( http://www.npr.org/rss/podcast.php?id=510073 ). Just search for "The Jefferson Exchange" in the iTunes Store and Voila... Unfortunately I don't know how long before the post the latest shows...not there yet...
Well done PZ! You sounded all warm and fuzzy.
Just listened to it (thanks to RC Nelson). PZ came across very well indeed, I thought. Not a hint of him slurping on a kitten smoothie nor the yelp of puppies being kicked.
markj@21,
The S & M Bunny at #24 beat me to it. That's just what The Antichrist would want you to think! See what I mean by slick?
Thanks to all for the extra opportunities to hear this.
Thanks to RC Nelson for recording and posting the interview.
PZ, great job as usual! Wish I could attend the talk.
@ 27,
2 more gaps ! 2 more gaps !
Great interview P.Z.
Thanks RC Nelson | April 23, 2009 1:20 PM
So, uh, run into Scott yet? ;-)
Thanks RC Nelson, excellent quality file.
