Bouncing Baby

SteelyKid's day care is closed today and tomorrow for a Jewish holiday (happy (?) Shavuot to those who celebrate it), so she's home all day for the next two. Of course, Kate and I are both crazy busy, so my parents are coming up to watch SteelyKid today while we're off at work. We really had to twist their arms to get them to agree to spend a whole day with the cutest baby in the universe...

Anyway, in honor of that, here's some bonus baby video of SteelyKid playing one of her favorite games with Grandpa:

Once again, I've let a very long time pass without posting photos. It's been a crazy stretch for us, starting with SteelyKid getting yet another case of strep throat, then DAMOP, then a trip to my parents' for Memorial Day weekend, then trying to recover from the previous. As with the last few, I'l…
While in the past, I've written a bunch about basketball here, I've been unusually silent on the subject this year, confining my commentary to the occasional Links Dump item from Grantland and other sites. This isn't because the past season was not noteworthy-- indeed, it was a rather eventful year…

Ridiculously big grin on my face right now. My daughter turned twenty-one yesterday ( :-0 ), but I can still hear her giggling as she bounces on my knee while I sing, "This is the way the lady/farmer/gentleman rides." I know, I know--hopelessly sexist/classist ditty, but good for hours of amusement.
