Bouncing Baby

SteelyKid's day care is closed today and tomorrow for a Jewish holiday (happy (?) Shavuot to those who celebrate it), so she's home all day for the next two. Of course, Kate and I are both crazy busy, so my parents are coming up to watch SteelyKid today while we're off at work. We really had to twist their arms to get them to agree to spend a whole day with the cutest baby in the universe...

Anyway, in honor of that, here's some bonus baby video of SteelyKid playing one of her favorite games with Grandpa:

I foolishly neglected to get an Appa picture this morning, but I wouldn't want to deprive you of your cute toddler fix for the week. And, of course, it's important to get at least one picture of SteelyKid playing with her spiffy new kitchen out: We gave this to her last night, and it was a huge…

SteelyKid's day care is closed today for a Jewish holiday, so she's spending the day at home with her grandmother. It was a real struggle to get my mother to come up for the day... Something I'm sure is on the agenda is playing with her shape sorter box, which she was good enough to demonstrate on…

Ridiculously big grin on my face right now. My daughter turned twenty-one yesterday ( :-0 ), but I can still hear her giggling as she bounces on my knee while I sing, "This is the way the lady/farmer/gentleman rides." I know, I know--hopelessly sexist/classist ditty, but good for hours of amusement.
