ThinkProgress reports, Kansas House Speaker Won't Apologize For Praying For Obama's Death:

Kansas House Speaker Mike O'Neal (R) has apologized for forwarding emails from his personal account referring to First Lady Michelle Obama as "Mrs. YoMama," but he has not apologized for another email using a Bible verse to essentially call for President Obama's death. Psalm 109:8 became a conservative meme in 2009 to symbolize making President Obama a one-term President, but it speaks to ending his term of office by ending his life: "Let his days be few; and let another take his office." The following verse adds "Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow." O'Neal offered his own commentary: "At last -- I can honestly voice a Biblical prayer for our president! Look it up -- it is word for word! Let us all bow our heads and pray. Brothers and Sisters, can I get an AMEN? AMEN!!!!!!"

Sorry for the silence here on the blog for the last few weeks. There's some exciting stuff that's taken up all of my time lately, about which more soon.

Dear Texas, Let me first of all say that despite our differences, I still consider you my home, even if I only get to visit a couple of times a year these days. Friends, family, football: you have it all for me. And, as I watched it get dark here in Oxford around 4 pm this afternoon, I have to…

Anyone have an actual copy of the "widow" e-mail from O'Neal?

I notice the banner ad at this site has a "become a pastor" advert from the Christian Ministry.

Don't you love irony?
