The beauties and mysteries of the earth: Some prose for today

"Those who dwell, as scientists or laymen, amongst the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life".

"We live in a world which is penetrated through and through by science and which is both whole and real. We cannot turn it into a game by taking sides. . . . No one who has read a page by a good critic or a speculative scientist can ever again think that this barren choice of yes or no is all that the mind offers"

Thank you for the quotes, and for your book Tomorrow's Table, that I am re-reading and will write something on for my column, The Farmers Stand, for our local paper. The editor of the Canadian magazine, Small Farm Canada, also read your book and enjoyed it enough to mention in his editorial a few months ago. Keep up the good work(s).

this is so true:

"Those who dwell, as scientists or laymen, amongst the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life".

We stop being lonely or alone when we realize that we are alone all the time and at the same time... when surrounded by nature we are in this incredibly immensely beautiful and supportive world.

thank you!
