iPod iChing - in the Navy

Warm and sunny friday by the sea.
So, oh mighty iPod, we beseech thee, the time has come, so tell us about ships and kings and whether pigs have wings.

Whoosh goes the randomizer.
Whoosh.

NB: For technical reasons we are using a sharply reduced subset of the full collected wisdom of the iPod...

  • The Covering: Burnout - Green Day
  • The Crossing: Henry Kissinger - Monty Python
  • The Crown: Mary had a little lamb
  • The Root: Auga fyrir Auga - Stuðmenn
  • The Past: Jungle Music - Rico and the Special AKA
  • The Future: Jón Pönkari - Bubbi
  • The Questioner: Jack and Jill
  • The House: Knights of the Round Table - Monty Python
  • The Inside: Cardiac Arrest - Madness
  • The Outcome: I'm Free - Violent Femmes

Hm, #11 was Stúlkan sem starir á hafið by Hera, and #12 is Confessions by Violent Femmes.

Pretty straight forward. Covering and Crossign start off on theme.
The Crown, I will remind you, is a religious allegory.
The Root is "Eye for an Eye" while The Future is "John the Punk" - the tale of an altar boy gone bad.
The Questioner - oh dear, just remember it wasn't really Jill's fault!
The House is hilariously appropriate.
The Inside speaks of inevitable fate and death.

And then the Outcome!

#11 is "the girl who stares at the sea" - the tale of woman driven mad when the ship her man is on vanishes at sea.

Have we got an army?
We'll teach you how to act like a man
Have we got an army?
Man I mean to tell you we can fight
Have we got an army?
And we're gonna... do it tonight
::Do do do it tonight::
::Yeah they're gonna
Pay pay pay pay it tonight::
Do do do it tonight
People worry
What are they worrying about today
People worry
Nah you see I've learned my lessons
And I dont even want to hear about your confessions

As always, the Key as explained by Sean

We're so sorry
We told you not to hurry.
Now its just too late
You've got a certain date
We thought we made it clear
We all voiced our inner fears
We left it up to you
Theres nothing we can do.
