Don't you live near a library? Nowadays you can visit many libraries virtually and get on the hold list for a popular title. (I'm #6 in a queue of 26 waiting for the Dean book in my multi-branch county.)

I am greedy that way. I like to own the book I read, keep it, come back to it over time, etc. That's why our home collection is so huge.
