The word 'hysteria' always reminds me of the etymology and the medical history of the word - and the invention of the vibrator.
Sometimes you are paranoid, and sometimes they are really after you. I particularly like Archy's (the first of the "John" links) take.
Sometimes running in circles and screaming is the correct response.
the latest chill up and down my spine is a FindLaw commentary which suggests the Military Commissions Act ("MCA") is a "smackdown" of the Supreme Court and has been deliberately drawn to minimize if not eliminate judicial review, a la Gonzales, and at least make it difficult for any detainee to which the MCA is applicable to appeal or have a basis for appeal.
i don't know. i guess some interested third party can bring suit against the executive. a class action suit on behalf of the American people?
