The best of ABATC this summer so far

More like this

Here are some of my best posts from August, in my own opinion. You know it is a small proportion of all posts, but even if I posted only these, that's quite a nice blog right there if I may say so myself ;-) What I try to do when I travel abroad across several time zones Well versed in science…
New Year's Day, a time to reminisce about the past year, perhaps to analyze its ups and downs, and in the blogosphere: to link to one's "Best of" posts for all of those who missed them. I posted 2960 posts so far this year - with six days to go I may reach 3000. It is not easy sifting through all…
We are busy preparing for The Open Laboratory 2008. The submissions have been trickling in all year, and a little bit more frequently recently, but it is time now to dig through your Archives for your best posts since December 20th 2007 and submit them. Submit one, or two, or several - no problem…
Reposted, as I needed to add a few of the most recent posts to the list - see under the fold: Now that this blog has won the ResearchBlogging.org Award in the Biology category, people are coming here and looking for biology posts. And on a blog with almost 10,000 posts, they may not be easy to find…

Is this useful? Something I should do once a month?

It's very useful, and I wish more prolific bloggers would do this.

I also love index pages, which collect links to posts on a particular topic. In fact, I was going to ask whether you'd done something like a Blogging 101 index post, since you collect so much information on the topic. I tried searching, but Sb is not the most search-friendly site.

Hmmm, no. My 'Blogging' category is too big and messy, but MT does not make it easy to go back and re-categorize posts. Is there any particular topic or post you are interested in?

But you can try scrolling through it and see if there is something you like. And you can check my other categories in the 'Archives' (the button under the banner).

I'm not looking for anything in particular, but I've seen enough to know there's gold in what I haven't gotten to. I was thinking something kind of like what you did with the blog carnivals post, where you collected links to your older posts in one place, only more comprehensive. Just something to make the old work easier to find.

No promises, but if I do get ambitious enough to go through the blogging category, I'll put a page together for it and send you a source code file.
