"I will stay as long as I believe I can be effective," said Gonzales.
Wrecking the constitution, no doubt. How many congresscritters have to demand his resignation before he finally gives it up as a lost cause? And worse, does Bush adore liars, or what? Even the GOP was demanding his resignation.
But Gonzo, in a supreme show of arrogance, has decided to stay because, as he says;
"As long as I think that I can be effective and the president believes that I should continue to be at the head of the Department of Justice, I'll continue serving," he told reporters.
House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other politicians, including members of President George W. Bush's Republican Party, have demanded that scumbag Gonzales resign over the controversial dismissal of eight top prosecutors.
"I can't be focused only on the US attorneys situation," he said arrogantly.
"I am focused on making sure our kids are safe, making sure our neighborhoods are safe, making sure our consumers are safe," said Gonzales at a Federal Trade Commission press conference on identity theft.
Well, in that case, I have no faith whatsoever that I will be protected from any of these social ills (nevermind the unaddressed issues with contaminated spinach, or pet food, heaven forbid!). I might as well sell my identity, professional credentials and credit rating to the highest bidder on the open market. At least I will be able to scrounge a meagre living for a few years with what I am bid before I am living on the streets.

Albert Gonzales is effective, but not as attorney general. He is acting as the Bush Administration's attorney defending the missteps and the malfeasance of the Bush administration.
This is interesting:
Presidential candidate Kucinich to call for Cheney impeachment
Here's a couple of the things I find most interesting:
1) I didn't find this on the front page. I heard something on NPR this morning, then I had to search in Google News to find this.
2) Why does the CNN headline refer to Kucinich as a "prsidential candidate" rather than a U.S. representative? It appears to me by to a FoxNews-worthy spin attempt.
Yes, Mustafa,I'm in central Ohio & familiar with his name and he is a presidential candidate and now six-term Congressman from Ohio as well as a former Cleveland mayor and councilman.The Rep. stands for representative not republican. He is a democrate. Here is his presidential website: http://kucinich.us/
There is a reasonable article in The Guardian about Bush 2 and its collection of looters, rapists, and oil barons: "Fascist America, in 10 easy steps".
