Update: Still Hanging in There

I've been getting worried emails from people who want to know if I am alright.

Yes, I am fine, although my troubles have multiplied since I am now ill with a rather nasty cold as well as experiencing other unpleasantnesses. In fact, due to my inability to sleep, I wonder if my illness is partially (or totally) due to that alone. So I started taking citalopram once more, just for a few more days, so I can make myself get some sleep, and hopefully, recover from this cold more quickly.

In addition to all that drama, I am leaving for Finland in a few days (this is last-minute, at least as international travel goes), so I have a lot of work to finish in preparation for this visit, and absolutely no energy to get it done! But once there, I might make a few visits to either Russia or Sweden, and I will probably spend some time roaming the corridors between the science labs at the University of Helsinki, and I am hoping to spend some time (a few days?) wandering around Suomenlinna; exploring, photographing and maybe getting enough material so I can write a story that I can sell somewhere -- it would be nice to earn money from my writing for a change!

How are all of you doing?

Thanks for the update. It's good to hear you're still hanging in. I hope the unpleasantness is soon over and your cold better. Finland should be interesting.

* Hugs *

I am on 40mg Citalopram a day, and I'd hate to go back to the man I was beforehand. Recently I went without for a few days, and it was horrible!

I can't do anything for your cold and other unpleasantness, but I can hope that things turn around so you can make the most of your trip to Finland. Enjoy it

Keep up the good work, sending good wishes for health and a good year... from a fan in Seattle.

Hoping you'll get well soon so you can enjoy your upcoming trip to Finland! I'm looking forward to your photos and essays. Best wishes always!

Hang in there... I'm wishing you well.

A cold always stuffs up my bi-polar. To have that, on top of withdrawals must be a true joy.

I hope you are feeling much better soon so you can enjoy your trip (and maybe even make some thing to feed the birds with)

cheers

Ha! I can introduce Grrl to my new friend - Reg the Clueless, who should be more reliable than Snow White. I'm sure she'll like him.

And if you understand that, I know where you live. :-)

Have lots o' fun - and watch out for the aquavit!

Hey, Bob O'H - We're going to need some help with that one. Can you give us a clue?

Glad to hear from you. I've been reading your blog since before you joined SB, and look forward to the lovely photos of birds every week, not to mention great reading inspired by your book reviews. I hate hate hate our healthcare "system" and hope for change some day. Have a great trip!
