A Source of Inspiration

I sometimes wonder what sort of impact I have on the world, beyond re-arranging a few bazillion electrons, so I was surprised and charmed to learn that Glendon Mellow wrote a very sweet essay at his blog, The Flying Trilobite, that was inspired by my friend and colleague, Kevin Zelnio and me that you might find interesting to read (and also thanks to ScienceOnline09).

How about adding this, too? Like a lot of people, days aren't long enough for everything I need to get done. So I have to be circumspect about how much time I spend on the internet. I need to read for a living because I'm a writer and what I read needs to inform, refresh and teach. Your blog is one of the ones I subscribe to.

As a result of your blog and talk at the conference, I've also picked up a book on birds of Ontario!

Now to get one on plants. High time I took a closer look around and knew some names. I learned a lot from you in other sessions as well. You make electron-rearrangement inspiring.
