Huge question! I've been searching your site for a poem that I'm sure was posted here on Valentine's Day, back in the day, but it was about genes/DNA/gametes/whatever and a very sweet poem as well.. cannot find it to save my life, do you have any idea what I'm talking about or where it might be found? Yes, Gazania rigens(Treasure flower, South African daisy)is what it looks to be. Not great as a cut flower, as it closes at night and on cloudy days.

For some reason the local cottontails like to eat Gazania, so I can only plant it in containers.

The coloring and spotting at the base of the petals can be astoundingly exquisite.
