Oooh I LOVE Sy Montgomery, but Walking with the Great Apes is actually pretty disappointing-I've read much better biographies of Goodall, Fossey, and Galdikas (including their own books). But if I remember (and it's been a while), I really enjoyed Searching for Golden Moon Bear.

My absolute favorite by her, however, is Journey of the Pink River Dolphins. It is one of my absolute favorite books :)
