This video is a time-lapse rendering of an Apple ipad fingerpainting demo that was streamed live from artist David Kassan's Brooklyn studio on Monday, 21 June 2010. The model sat for 3 hours as Mr Kassan painted and answered questions on how he uses the iPad and the Brushes applications.

Fascinating and he doesn't have to wait for the paint to dry! Of course, this could also been done with a stylus and PC..but it might freeze in the middle!
I don't know if you've created any artwork with a stylus, Tabor, but in my experience there is a massive difference between drawing on a tablet while you look at a screen versus looking and drawing simultaneously at the same surface.
It took me YEARS to learn pen-like control of my stylus/Wacom combination, whereas it took me about a week to learn how to feel comfortable painting on my iPad (I use Autodesk Sketchbook Pro, though, instead of Brushes -- I've love to see someone do a head-to-head comparison!).
Of course, some artists with really comfortable budgets get to use those Cintiq tablets that are tablet/display all in one, but I've never been that lucky. My office only supplies me with the non-display version of the tablet.
