The Boneyard XIII

Greg has the latest edition of the Boneyard up on display, featuring snippets of William Stout's fantastic new artwork on display at the San Diego Natural History Museum. Greg has uncovered a rich assemblage of posts, so be sure to have a look.

I was also hoping that fans of the Boneyard might be able to lend me some assistance. I know I haven't been the best about keeping on top of the carnival because it goes up on weekends, and many hosts have to dig around for posts because there aren't many actual submissions. I want to make a more concerted effort to get the carnival on its feet again, so I wanted to ask what you think the best day would be to put the carnival up? I was thinking a weekday (Thursday?), especially since I'm usually more connected during the week than I am on Saturday or Sunday (as most people seem to be). Any input would be appreciated, and I apologize that I haven't been especially good at managing the carnival since December. Once I have some input on when the carnival should go up I'll announce when the next edition will show up.

Last summer I started up the paleontology blog carnival The Boneyard, a bi-weekly gathering of links featuring the best of blogging about fossils. Sadly the carnival has now become defunct, and outside of Will (who has admirably tried to kick me in the butt to get it going again) not many people…
One of my many distractions lately is travel planning. After spending several months living in the wilds of Lower Alabama, I'm getting to take a bit of a vacation. Right now, face a 60-minute round-trip commute to get to the nearest bookstore (a marginally acceptable Barnes and Noble). If I'm…
Today I've got a human osteology exam, so while I'm trying to make sure I know all my processes, foramina, and sutures things are going to be a bit light here. Still, I've got a few items of interest to unload here before trying to cram more of White's Human Osteology into my brain; The next…
I'll be away at the AMNH for most of the day today, but here are a few general "housekeeping" notes until I get back; A very special edition of The Boneyard (#20) will be coming up next week. (See this post for the full details.) I haven't received any submissions yet, but just keep in mind that…

Hi Brian,

Weekends are best for me...I have school and work all day on weekdays and almost no time to post something large and involved. Am I still doing the next edition (the 23rd?). Thanks!
