Here are a few snapshots of the foster kittens that have been running around the place lately:

And, as a bonus, part of a really beautiful sunset as seen from my office. To see the heavy rain in this lighting was spectacular.

I realize I've been away a little longer than usual, but I have a good excuse. I just spent the past week with my family at Beaches resort, on Turks and Caicos. You see, my father turned 80 this year, and we marked the occasion by schlepping the whole family down to the Caribbean. My peeps!…
As some of you know, I take in an extra cat that needs a foster home from time to time, rotating them out as they are adopted or go to the pet store so people can see them. Here's a quick run-down of how the cats my wife and I have fostered (each in turn) have been doing; Beatrice: Bea was the…
In my last post, more than four months ago (oy, that's bad!), we had just acquired four new children, 11, 3, 3, and 16 months, and were settling in and getting adjusted.  And then I didn't blog all summer.  Or for most of the first month of autumn.  A few people wondered whether I was eaten by a…
The worst part of visiting my parents is driving home. Yes, I will miss Moms cooking/baking. Yes, I will miss having real food (weird how the totally not organic food we get from local farmers is still good). Yes, Focus on the Family and AFA make a long drive longer (today they passive-…

Boy, it's nice to have kittens around. After many years of adopting adult cats, we've had three kittens in the last six years--first one long-haired tabby female from a pregnant queen that appeared in a co-worker's yard, then a pair of grey kittens being raised feral behind my dad's place. They are all fine mousers and ratters. In addition, the brothers dig up earthworms and bring home random toys from weather stripping to dessicated squirrel carcases.

Wonderful photos of your fosters. Fostering is one of the most rewarding feelings I've ever had. Especially when forever homes are found. Thanks for all you do for animals.

They are all simply adorable.
