The Crestone Sangres, viewed from the South Colony Lakes basin, are, to my mind, every bit as spectacular as the Tetons, and are taller. Thankfully, the Crestones aren't in a national park and hence aren't as popular a tourist destination. On a summer weekend one's likely to encounter a clusterfuck of peak baggers but early (or late) in the season one is likely to have the Crestones all to oneself.
