A dolphin has been given a prosthetic tail after she severely injured hers in a crab trap. You can watch the video of her story here. The story of the dolphin called "Winter" is so inspiring that a movie is being made of her incredible story called "Dolphin Tale". You can see the preview here. It opens in theaters September 23rd. This is an incredible story of the capacity for animals to recover from traumatic injuries.

Pfff, was injured *by* a crab trap. I don't even have to bother clicking through, presumably this is a special dolphin that is endangered or something due to human activity. Never mind all those other dolphins that got butchered or killed by pollution, oil, etc. ad nauseum, and nobody noticed.

Okay I might as well just say it: What a steaming, goey pile of idiotic hypocritical bullshit bamby crap.

As a former lover of the show Flipper, I will have to see the movie. Besides, I like Morgan Freeman.

Another dolphin movie?! Those movies really make me just want to cry. Iâm no animal-lover, but I do care about them. I believe that they should be treated just as how they should be treated: with respect. As much as this movie seems like a heartwarming movie with an inspiring story, people just donât stop bugging the innocent lives of these sea creatures. I was reading the comment about flippers, the dolphin and dolphin show. Did you know the dolphin itself committed suicide by plugging its air hole? It was all due to stress, trapped in a tight glass habitat longing for the adventurous open sea. Using animals for the purpose of gaining profits needs to stop; itâs just wrong.
