Marvin

Back to real blogging soon, but before then, I wanted to post this. You probably saw a bit of this during NBC's Olympics coverage, but the whole thing has to be seen. It's one of the coolest things ever, though me being a huge Marvin Gaye fan might have something to do with me thinking that:

More like this

I am generally not hugely enthusiastic about the Olympics, and I really wasn't following the run-up to the Beijing games this year. The games turn out to be great mindless distraction while SteelyKid is between feedings, though, so I've ended up seeing a fair amount of them. I know you're dying to…
"Damn with faint praise, assent with civil leer, And without sneering, teach the rest to sneer; Willing to wound, and yet afraid to strike, Just hint a fault, and hesitate dislike." -Alexander Pope As you know, last weekend I was on vacation at a certain music festival, and of course, a good time…
Note added 9/17/2015: I knew it. The vaccine issue came up during the second debate and Donald Trump repeated basically the same nonsensical antivaccine tropes that he's been repeating for at least eight years. It rather puts the lie to his claim that he listens to experts and changes his opinion…
So, the Cowboys-Redskins game yesterday apparently had a wild finish. There were three field goal attempts in the final 31 seconds, one of them blocked and partially returned, with a penalty setting up the game-winning attempt with no time on the clock. Wild stuff, sure to be good highlight fodder…

This reminds me why they call it Soul music.

'This reminds me why they call it Soul music.'

Oh yea.
in the new of york he's a legend.

Why don't you up your blog anymore? I was enjoying it quite a lot. Hope you're ok and continue.

This is a truly amazing interpretation and performance. I have never really like the American National Anthem. It has always sounded too ... patriotic, and Americans are very patriotic.

I have watched this sooooooooo many times. Love it!

Great video! Marvin Gaye is still awesome today. This video never gets old. Even all the way through marriage therapy, I still love to watch this video in the down time.

Anyone knows why the blogging here has stopped?
