Thursday Toddler Blogging 071510

We've been doing weekly Baby Blogging (now Toddler Blogging) for a long time now-- this is week 101-- but it occurs to me that we've been shortchanging someone in all these pictures: Appa. He is, after all, a sky-bison, so it's about time we got a picture of him in flight:

SteelyKid says "I could totally do that, if Mommy and Daddy would let me."

(We've-- well, all right, I've-- started playing a game where I get Appa across the room from SteelyKid, say "Yip-yip!" and toss him across the room to her. Lately, she's started saying "Yip-yip!" as well, which makes it much cuter.)

(Kate is way too good to us.)

More like this

Appa appears in all the weekly Toddler Blogging pictures, but he's not the only stuffed animal in Chateau Steelypips. the others were getting a little resentful of Appa's blog time, so here's the full cast of characters: In the back row, from left to right, we have: SteelyKid, Baby, Audrey, Appa,…
I almost killed the Pip last week. By accident, of course, but I do mean that literally. His day care was closed for the day, so I took him out to the store to avoid a freakout when Mommy left. I was heading into the store with him in one arm and a hot cup of tea in the other hand, chattering…
We got a good group photo this week, showing everybody, with Appa for scale, even: Here, SteelyKid is opening a bag of small presents that Aunt Norma and Uncle Dan sent, while the Pip engages in the traditional five-week-old-infant pursuit of sleeping a whole lot. When she's not opening early…
Long-time readers will remember that I used to do weekly kid-blogging, posting pictures of SteelyKid with a reference animal, Appa the sky-bison from the Avatar cartoon. I stopped a couple of years ago, because SteelyKid started being reluctant to pose for the pictures every week. I got her to pose…

OT for the post, but worth a mention.

David Gross, in one of his YouTube answers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JY-woKSpR5Y at 2:39 says "I have two dogs, and I've tried to teach them quantum mechanics, and they just don't get it. No matter how had I try, they're unable to understand quantum mechanics."

Maybe you could spare Emmy long enough for her to run a seminar or two?

She just keeps getting cuter and cuter.
