As I mentioned recently, Alvaro has taken over as organiser of Encephalon, and he's just posted the latest edition of the carnival, which has two dozen entries on a wide of variety of neuroscience topics. I especially like this one about the hidden neuroanatomical images in Renaissance paintings (or lack thereof).
The next edition of the carnival will be at Mind Hacks on 3rd March. If you'd like to contribute, send your links to encephalon{dot}host{at}gmail{dot}com.
The reignited Encephalon is up at Sharp Brains.

I'm late to the party sorry, but this week's circle is up at Bug Girl's Blog. Check it out. She's one of my favorite bloggers and she's done a great job with her Valentine's day edition.
In particular I will point out Greta Christina's review of "Mistakes Were Made (but not by me)", and the new (to me) blog BPSDB (like BPR3 but with this snazzy new icon).
My brother Chris would also like Andrea Buzzing about Scientology's claims about psychiatry.

Alvaro has kindly agreed to take over as organizer of Encephalon, the neuroscience carnival which I started back in August 2006. He has set up a new homepage for the carnival, and will be hosting the next edition this coming Monday at SharpBrains. If you'd like to contribute, send permalinks to your neuroscience and/or psychology blog posts to encephalon{dot}host{at}gmail{dot}com.
After a brief winter break, the lovely neuroscience carnival Encephalon is back under the new management. Submit your posts and volunteer to host. I just hosted one recently and am too busy right now, but if you can, contact Alvaro and sign up for hosting.
You may remember Encephalon, a biweekly neuroscience carnival, that we used to participate in regularly. Well, it kind of lapsed there for a bit because the organizer, Mo, was very understandably busy with other things.
Sharp Brains has graciously agreed to reorganize it.
The first Encephalon of the new season is this Monday February 18th. To submit, email your posts to encephalon{dot}host{at}gmail{dot}com. The new Encephalon home page is here.
Carnivals for this week:
Carnival of the Godless #84: OK, I'm a week late with this one, and it's cephalopod themed. I'm so ashamed to have missed it earlier.
Carnival of the Blue #9: Oceans are good.
I and the Bird #68: It's winter themed. It's cold here, so that's appropriate.
Linnaeus' Legacy #4: Taxonomists rejoice!
A call has been put out for Darwin Day posts. Get it together and put up something celebrating Darwin Day. I'll try, but my schedule is once again bubbling over chaotically — I'm giving a short talk to an education conference on Monday, and I volunteered to do a talk…
Linnaeus' Legacy #4: Darwin Month Extravaganza! is up on The Other 95%
