Exotic pets are a bad idea. Dogs and cats have been specially bred to be good pets (and even then there are exceptions).
Where did they get the animals for the ad?
Yeah, and PZ was just picking on a real case where some idiots had a big python in the house... with a toddler. Fortunately, the kid survived (but not the snake).
Personally, I'd love to have a tame tiger as a pet, but I know that doesn't exist. Even tigers raised in captivity aren't meant to be pets, and it would be an awful job to clean that litter box, but a girl can dream.
