Basic-plumaged American Pipit (Anthus rubescens), based on slender bill, dark cheek with white eye-ring and supercilium, and streaky underparts. Sprague's Pipit (probably the next most likely pipit in the northern plains) would have a paler cheek (making the dark eye much more prominent), and less streaking on the underparts.
