OK, she's not really gigantic, but she does tower over Appa these days. And she's strong enough to lift Appa one-handed, while drinking juice with the other:

Finally, as a bonus, here's a cute picture of SteelyKid with a newspaper ad featuring a Boston terrier. She recognizes it as just like Gammy's dog, Truman:
She does tend to refer to all dogs in pictures as "Booyyy," which is a better approximation of my parents' dog Bodie. Of course, she's also been known to say "Booyyy" when pointing to pictures of people, so it may just be an all-purpose noun for "picture of a thing I recognize" at this point.

I have never had children. What I know about infant development is: Walking happens at around age 1, and word-strings and sentences start at around age 2.
Thanks for sharing the language development bits. They don't photograph as well, but I find them just as interesting, and look forward to more.
In other news, I had a funny sort of "recognition moment". When you showed the picture of the Boston Terrier, and then mentioned Truman, I thought, "Wait! I know that dog from the book! Cool!"
Her word strings currently consist of: "Hi, (name)", "No, mine!" and "more, please." Her daycare teachers say she's more verbally expressive than a lot of other kids at this age. She also understands a scary amount.

And, of course, "Oosh ka booyy. Ga!" Whatever that means.
I count "all done" as one thing, a constant unit, not something she's put together like the others.
And no, I don't know what it means either, but it's very important to her.
They are a lot of fun at that age. The most pleasant memories of my life, thus far are from when my son was about 1 til kindergarten. It wasn't that upbringing after that was no longer fun, or that he wasn't fun, it was simply a matter of other issues in our lives. Enjoy it, I know I did alot and would still love to have more kids!
I still remember with great fondness a holiday newsletter from my sister and her husband, reporting that their youngest had mastered the words "more" and "ketchup".
"Oosh ka booyy. Ga!" was what she was saying over and over on the phone in that one video. From what you said about her using that word about dogs, she might be trying to say something about Emmy or your parents' dog. Also, maybe Ga means grandma or whatever word you guys use for that? I have no idea what the first two words are, you're on your own there. LOL Maybe ask her questions about dogs the next time she says that and see if you get a positive response. It's either about a dog or it's a line from a show or a movie. My nephew went around saying "I pity the fool!" for weeks before I figured out what he was saying, and that he got it from the first Pee-Wee movie.
