Sometime the deepest of philosophical issues are best understood in image form. Perhaps they should be transcribed into stained glass in some great cathedral: Here we have the problem of pain (I think thats the right phrase) part 1 and part 2. And for William, who adopts a bluff non-intellectual persona. More here. Oh yes: Christ on a bike was one of my fathers favourite expressions. Mother didn't like it though.
...to this day, every time I walk through the front door, I say, I ALWAYS say: "Honey, I'm home!"
After making several potential designs in silico, my daughter chose one and we carved it. In order to participate in the Happy Hallo-Meme, we brought out the camera - first picture immediately after, the second once the darkness arrived and we lit up the candle inside: Of course, Juno in costume was a hit with neighbors....

I could spend hours looking at Princess Peppercloud's playful, stylistic take on the lives of ants.  Do yourself a big happy favor and pay the princess a visit.

What is the mathematical description of the treshold point at which any old generic FAIL suddenly becomes Epic FAIL? Is there a similar curve (EWRC) for WIN?
How many moles of Guacamole did Bishop Ussher consume on this day? How about Samuel S. Snow on the same day some years later? Not that this Epic FAIL is going to deter the True Believers - dealing with them is a "a repetitious and futile task" and they'll keep coming up with fresh dates. Take that, vertebrate scum! Incidentally, my wife used to have one of these Nephila spiders nesting in the high ceiling of her living room when she was living in Queensland.  I guess she used it to dissuade potential suitors, but somehow I made it through.

Apparently, the world's worst superhero is Ant-Man. Great. That's exactly the kind of press we need.

In the course of a vaguely amusing although rather pointless argument on the wiki GW talk page [1] I found I needed the character [[Mr Logic]]. One thing lead to another, and before you know it I was at this all-time classic (warning: contains rude words and concepts). So now you know why wikipedia is better than Britannica: it has entire (albeit short) articles about one-off comic strips from 1993.

Via The Other 95% comes an absolutely charming animation set to the British public's opinion on evolution. If the style looks familiar, it's from Nick Park, the creator of Wallace and Gromit.
