So yesterday was filled with yummy veggies and fruit, with some proteins and fats thrown in. I made some compromises that were less than healthy (granola bars), but managed to get some great locally-grown melon, salads, and some nice marinated beans, among other things.

I had some stress-related over-eating, which isn't (obviously) a good coping mechanism, but in general, I'm doing better.

Just a comment on Medicare: because several family members lived to rather advanced ages,I have a great deal of experience interacting with Medicare(both regular and railroad retirement)or hearing about my relatives' experiences.All in all:no horrendous problems,no refusals,nothing terrible.I'm always amazed that my father's last few months of life (which included 4 hospitalizations) did *not* produce any major catastrophes in accounting that required hours on the phone.
I just listened; very good.
Whatever the model, it is stupid to cap payments without capping med ed expenses.
