Apologies for the blog silence again this week. Last week was a bit crazy and I'm still catching up for it. I have a write-up of last weekend's evolution and intelligent design conference on the way, but before I attended that, I met up quickly for drinks and conversation with a few other Sciencebloggers. Left to right, The Intersection's Chris Mooney, Evil Monkey of Neurotopia, me, and Orac of Respectful Insolence.

In case you wondered, yes, ScienceBlogs is just a big cabal, and, as evidence, I present the following photo from a week and a half ago, when I managed to meet, drink, and conspire to take over the science blogosphere at the Toledo Lounge in Washington, D.C. with Tara Smith of Aetiology, Evil…
The day has finally arrived.
The big changes hinted at and then announced have finally come to pass.
Orac has finally rebooted and plugged his (its?) essence into ScienceBlogs.com.
It almost didn't come to pass, thanks to a certain overreaction by my medical school. It also didn't help that, after…
There are over sixty blogs under the Scienceblogs umbrella. There is an impression we are all "progressives" (aka left-leaning) and must agree on matters social and political. While we probably are more to the left than the average (we are reality-based and rational, after all) there is a wide…
If you haven't had a chance to visit the new ScienceBlogs home page, go now. It's got a slew of brand-new features, and we've more than doubled the number of bloggers. What's more, there are now several blogs that are in fields closely related to Cognitive Daily, which have conveniently been…
Orac looks just like I expected him to look. Evil Monkey less so...
FWIW, you're still cuter than Orac...
Flea
LOL Speaking of dead, dont worry about us, we're entertaining ourselves beating a dead horse.
:P
What are we up to? 600 comments now? lol!
You look good in color, too.
I've heard that women find men more attractive if they are near a woman who is smiling. I'm not a very good judge of men, generally, but, by this standard, Chris, Evil, and Orac look pretty good in this image.
Apparently, men don't use social cues from other men to judge women. So, you'd look just as good in the same picture, but with the guys cropped off.
Is Orac smiling? I'm having a hard time reading his facial expression.
If I had to guess, Orac was likely ambivalent.
I think the correct answer is that there's almost no good quality evidence that Orac is smiling. I, however, suspect publication bias might be causing good quality evidence of Orac's smiling to remain unpublished.
Don't know who orac is, but you are definitely cuter.
