Someone call Sam Raimi!
Although not bound in human flesh and signed in blood, I'm pretty sure this recent "miraculous find" is the Necronomicon.
Irish archaeologists Tuesday heralded the discovery of an ancient book of psalms by a construction worker while driving the shovel of his backhoe into a bog. The approximately 20-page book has been dated to the years 800-1000.
The book was found open to a page describing, in Latin script, Psalm 83, in which God hears complaints of other nations' attempts to wipe out the name of Israel.
Directly after unearthing the book, the archaeologists' faces were melted off, while the ghosts of dead Nazis swirled overhead.

Biblical anti-Obama slogan: Use of Psalm 109:8 funny or sinister?
There's a new slogan making its way onto car bumpers and across the Internet. It reads simply: "Pray for Obama: Psalm 109:8"
A nice sentiment?
Maybe not.
The homes of Senator Amy Klobuchar , Senator Norm Coleman, U.S. Representatives Kieth Ellison, John Kline, Michelle Bachmann and Jim Ramstad were hit with spRay paint graffiti last night.
It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

Hilarious! I was an archaeology major for about T-3 seconds, and believe me, they get their fill of studying well-preserved kilns. :)
if anything, this could bring about a new evil dead sequel :)
Rumor has it that Raimi's developing a remake of The Evil Dead, not unlike the recent wave titles Dawn of the Dead and The Hills Have Eyes, etc.
Considering that The Evil Dead II is a remake of The Evil Dead, I would hope that Raimi comes up with new adventures for Bruce Campbell.
And I don't see the "miraculous" part of discovering a Dark Age book of Psalms in an Irish peat bog. Peat bogs are good environments for preserving organic material -- 2500 year old, remarkably intact bodies have been recovered from the European bogs.
Eh, the miraculous part was just me being ironic. :) (I think CNN called it that due to the Israel reference or some other sort of BS).
Isn't Bruce Campbell getting a little old to cavort around with zombies and the undead? I mean, that poster was exaggerating his ab's 15 years ago........
PS- One day I hope that someone "heralds" my discovery. You really know you've made it when your discovery is heralded.
Supposedly the Irish were the guardians of the books of knowledge and wisdom in those days - see
