Heh. I also always work on Memorial day, Labor day, MLK jr. day... However, I've always preferred being at university when the halls weren't clogged by students lingering between classes. And, as a graduate student and now a post-doc I appreciate the flexibility of being able to take a random Wednesday off if I needed a break.
