Jetlagged In the USA, Tan, Happy, And Broke

Well, just got back into the States last night and just wanted to say, I'm still alive and pictures/stories/tall-tales will be on the way. My traveling parter is getting back tomorrow and is the Keeper of the Camera. So, probably the next few days I'll get back to blogging (oh sweet vacation!) with travel stuff interspersed with sciencey goodness. Oh, and I got a doozy of a Science Vault blog in the works. Check back soon!

Ok, now back to getting that internal clock re-set......

But, here's one picture of me, Darren, and a Irish kid named Brian (we met him on the ferry to Phi Phi island). More to come later....

Oh, on the circadian --- take a tab of drug store melatonin at sunset, two days running. Works wonders.

(Even better, take melatonin at sunset time *for your destination* for two days before your arrival. I used to do that going to Singapore and Tokyo, and I had no jet lag at all. A little late to start that now, though.)

Thanks guys, you make me blush. Darren was the mysterious pandaknapper of Dr. Steve Steve (oops, did I give that away??) :)

I should check out the melatonin, since I'm still waking up at 4am it might be worth a whirl.

Kristjan, I have some vague recollection of already doing that 8 weird things about me, thanks for the tag though. Oh, i actually did the 10 Weird Things meme, here: http://scienceblogs.com/retrospectacle/2007/03/10_weird_things_about_me…

Hey welcome back, glad to hear you had a good time.
