William Shatner Vs. Buzz Aldrin

Courtesy of SEED's Daily Zeitgeist comes the newest addition to the People I'd Like To See Fight William Shatner (Stephen Hawking was recently added.). Yes, none other than the original Man In Space himself, Buzz Aldrin. Just cause he's been on the Moon doesn't mean he won't use gravity to its fullest potential to pound annoying people's faces in.

More like this

So, my esteemed ScienceBloggers Grrrscientist and PZ Myers have weighed in on Stephen Hawking's recent comments regarding the state of the planet and what we're suppost to do about it. To paraphrase, he believes that humans should be actively cultivating colonies on the Moon or beyond, in the…
Stephen Hawking may have been the only person to play himself on Star Trek, but that doesn't mean he's ready to sign Earth up for the United Federation of Planets. The world's most famous living scientist recently reiterated his warning that the search for intelligent life on other worlds could…
Paul Davies essay in the New York Times on "Taking Science on Faith" is sure to raise some hackles from the science community. Me, I'd just like to point out how silly some of Davies arguments specifics are. Yes, its another edition of "Nitpickers Paradiso." Davies begins with a mantra yelled by…
There's one piece of bad math that I've encountered relatively frequently in conversations. It's incredibly frustrating to me, because it's just so crazy - but the way we teach math and physics, far to many people just don't have enough of a clue to see how foolish it really is. This comes up…

Does it strike anyone else that there's no real means of telling whether Stephen Hawking is really as brilliant as advertised or if his chair is in fact doing all the work?

As for a person I'd like to see fight Shatner, I'd have to vote for Mark Hamill or perhaps Carrie Fisher....

BUT WHO MADE THE CHAIR????

Carrie Fisher, eh? I like how you think. She sure did a number on old Jabba.

I'm convinced that the chair is an elaborate prank being played upon us by engineering kids at MIT. You can't ever trust those engineers....

Regarding whom would be the best opponent for Shatner. The reason I thought Carrie Fisher would be a good match is the striking similarities between Bill and Jabba the Hutt.
